Youth Impact
Leadership:
26 youth have held leadership roles within Listen Up for at least 2 years, 4 for 3 years, 15 for 1 year.
Youth Population:
Almost 25% of Minnesota’s population is under 18. More than 30% of youth 0-19 in Minnesota are of color. *Wilder
Trainings:
We have trained 182 youth since 2018 in media production, storytelling, media literacy, or radio broadcasting.
Jobs:
Average wage for 16-19 year olds 2018-2020: $11.90/hour *U.S. BLS
Listen Up has paid youth $15/hour since 2018
